Lake Chapala is located approximately 35 minutes southeast of Guadalajara.
The area most popular with retirees, and the area we fondly refer
to as "Lakeside" is the area between Chapala and Jocotepec
(in the red box).
There are only five 'main' areas in Lakeside, but there are many 'Fraccionamientos'
(neighborhoods or communities) along the route between Chapala and
Jocotepec.
